Your Computer Is In Danger! Update Windows Immediately

Your computer is at risk and you should update Windows immediately. No, it is not one of the classic security alerts designed to force you to download an update but a real danger that threatens computers with Windows 7, 8.1, RT and 10. All should be updated to the latest version of the operating system as soon as possible.

The security problem hanging over users of outdated computers has to do with Windows Defender, the firewall included with the standard system. For quite some time this tool has suffered a critical vulnerability, one of the worst that has been discovered recently.

The exploit of Windows Defender allows you to run code remotely without the users’ interaction. In other words, by sending an email you can get your computer to execute the malicious code, granting administrator privileges to the hacker who wants to access your PC to steal data, information or install malware.

Luckily for everyone, the tech giant Microsoft has just released an update of Windows that patches and fixes, although it has not yet reached all the computers. Those who have not received it must update manually from the Update Center of the operating system.

Both Windows 10 and 8.1 are less exposed to the attack, according to the company itself, but that does not leave them out of all danger. That is why it is advisable to force the update to have the Windows Defender Engine that provides security against this vulnerability. It is 1.1.13704.0 or higher.

It is not the first time that an error in Windows programming allows to execute code remotely and without the permission of the user. Recently the tech giant Microsoft Office was the victim of a similar exploit. These kinds of threats are common and this is what you can do to defend yourself.

There is no antivirus that protects against programming errors of the system itself, although it is highly recommended to use one, either free or paid. The vast majority already includes a firewall, although Windows 10 is quite effective, or if we prevent the security problem that has just emerged.
